About this objectThis shallow redware bowl may have been used as a lamp. It is spherical with a slightly flattened base and a flared pointed rim. The rim is pinched on one side to form a spout, giving the vessel the appearance of a seashell.
This artefact is similar to other predynastic vessels, and was likely used in a domestic or funerary context.
