Name/TitleEgyptian red ware vessel
About this objectThis rough ceramic red-ware vessel is made of a coarse clay.
The vessel is comprised of a funnel-shaped body with a wide open mouth and a rolled rounded lip. The body then tapers into a rough columnar handle. The base of the handle is rough and uneven, and would not support the vessel upright.
Despite the vessel resembling a goblet or cup, the function is unclear. It is possible that this may be a lid to another vessel.
