Name/TitleEgyptian red ware bowl
About this objectThis bowl is a polished red ware vessel. It features a sharp carination (ridge-like structure) about two thirds of the way down the body. The wide open mouth is asymmetrical, much closer to the base on one side than the other. The base is small, flat and circular.
Vessels of this type are characteristic of the pre-dynastic period in Egypt.
