Name/TitleKylix (fragments)
About this objectA kylix is a wide shallow drinking cup. This one has been broken into several pieces. The cup is decorated in red figure style, with the background being filled in with a black slip.
The inner tondo image is of a man and a youth wearing cloaks or himations. The man leans on a staff. The figures are encircled by a pattern of meanders and chequered boxes. Under the handles are lotus palmettes and spirals.
Figures also decorated the outer walls of the cup, but aside from a man leaning on a staff, there are not enough remnants to make out the rest.
