Name/TitleSquat Lekythos
About this objectThis Squat Lekythos (also known as an oil flask) is from the early fourth century BC and possibly from Boeotia (North of Athens). This Lekythos has little decoration but for brown paint that has been hastily applied. Due to lack of decoration overall, this Lekythos would have been purely used for practical reasons. This means that this Lekythos would have mostly been used to carry and pour liquids such as oils.
