About this objectAn albastron, commonly used for holding oils, ointment or perfumes, often carried with a string around the neck. The form is designed for ease of holding. The design is a siren, who has large wings painted with dark brown to black and added red. She is surrounded by incised rosettes and there are tongues on the base.
