DATE: Tuesday 8 September 2020
VENUE: TSB Space, Tūranga, CCC Libraries, 60 Cathedral Square Central Christchurch 8011

Are you passionate about your culture and heritage? Does the idea of sharing the stories and treasures of your ancestors inspire and motivate you? A career in the heritage sector may offer many pathways to nourish your culture and enrich your community. There are opportunities to launch a career in arts and heritage right here in Ōtautahi, by engaging with the learning and heritage institutions on your doorstep.

This event for senior high school students will introduce you to the many and varied careers in arts and heritage, with a particular focus in 2020 on roles working with Māori and Pasifika collections and communities. Guest speakers from across the sector will discuss their jobs, and let you know what skills or qualifications you would need to do the same work.

A light morning tea will be served, and there will be opportunities to mingle with the speakers and ask questions.

This event is a partnership between the University of Canterbury Teece Museum, the Christchurch City Council Heritage Team and the Christchurch City Council Libraries.

I runga i ngā tai o mihi. Hei kona mai.
